1. Overview

At Thinkutor, we provide personalized, high-quality tutoring services designed to support each student’s learning goals. Because our services are delivered live and require dedicated instructor time, this Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines how payments, cancellations, and refunds work for all tutoring sessions.

By scheduling a session or submitting payment, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

2. First Session Satisfaction Guarantee

Your first session is covered by our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

If you are not satisfied with your first tutoring session for any reason, simply notify us immediately after the session by text or email.
In that case:

✔ You will not be charged
✔ No payment will be required
✔ The session will be marked as “no charge”

This guarantee applies to the first session only.

3. Payments for All Other Sessions

For all sessions after the first:

Payment is made after each session

A secure Checkout link is sent to you

Payment must be completed after each delivered session

Payments are final and non-refundable

Each tutoring session is a time-based service, and once the instructor has completed the session, the service is considered fully delivered.

4. Non-Refundable Services

After payment is submitted for any completed session, it becomes non-refundable.
Stripe and card network rules classify completed tutoring as a delivered service.

Therefore:

No refunds

No reversals

No credit-back

No chargebacks for delivered sessions are permitted after a session has been successfully completed.

5. Client Acknowledgement

By attending a tutoring session, the student acknowledges that:

The session was delivered as scheduled

Instructor time, effort, and educational guidance were provided

The service is complete once the session ends

By completing payment, the student confirms:

“I received the tutoring session and authorize this payment for a delivered service.”

This confirmation helps prevent misunderstandings and ensures clear expectations.

6. Digital Materials

Any digital materials sent to the student, including but not limited to:

Notes

Worksheets

Study guides

Assignments

Session recordings

Practice materials

are considered delivered and non-refundable once sent.
These are not returnable or reversible under any circumstances.

7. Cancellation Policy

We respect your time and ask for the same courtesy. Each booked session reserves dedicated instructor time.

Student Cancellations

24+ hours before the session:
✔ Free cancellation or reschedule

Less than 24 hours:
✔ A 50% late-cancellation fee applies

No-Show (no communication):
✔ The full session rate is charged

All outstanding fees must be cleared before future sessions can be booked.

Tutor Cancellations

If the tutor must cancel:

No fees apply

You will receive priority rescheduling

You will never be charged for a tutor-initiated cancellation

8. Payment Process

Here is how your billing works:

You attend your scheduled tutoring session

After the session ends, you receive a secure payment link

You complete payment for the delivered session

The payment becomes final, non-refundable, and non-reversible

This “pay-after-session” model ensures fairness and transparency for both students and tutors.

9. Chargebacks & Disputes

To prevent unauthorized disputes:

We maintain attendance logs, communication history, and session notes

All evidence is provided to payment processors when needed

By scheduling or attending a session, you agree:

“I will not file a chargeback for any session that was completed. Any concerns must be communicated directly to Thinkutor.”

This protects both you and the instructor from unnecessary dispute processes.
